Please find attached a letter and Standard Operating Procedure sent to all NHS optical providers in England from Matt Neligan, National Director of Primary Care and System Transformation, and Poonam Sharma, Clinical Advisor for Optometry, regarding the re-opening of optical services. Also attached is a letter from Rachel Webb, Director of Primary Care and Public Health, NHS England and NHS Improvement, East of England and a Risk Assessment document that is referenced in Rachel’s letter. 

Please could you review all correspondence and complete a short questionnaire via the link below regarding your intentions of resuming GOS services.

We would also like to draw your attention to Gateway message 2519 “Guidance for primary care on reducing risk of staff acquiring Covid” which was sent out at approximately 4pm today (17/06/2020). This may be helpful when assessing your business continuity plans and is attached for ease of reference.
