Health & Wellbeing in Practice
The health & wellbeing of all staff members in a practice is important to ensure a happy and healthy practice environment. This applies to both the physical and the mental health of everyone in the practice. A proactive approach is required from managers to recognise problems and be ready with actions to address the issues involved.
Who Cares?” Health & Wellbeing (H&WB) Norfolk & Waveney
A New NHS Health and Wellbeing programme has been launched to support Opticians staff across Norfolk and Waveney to assist in improving the Health and Wellbeing (H&WB) of everyone working in Optometry.
The “Who Cares?” campaign recognises and values the critical role Optometry plays in supporting patient care across Norfolk and Waveney. It will ensure that all our staff will have equitable access to HW&B resources, in line with their NHS counterparts.
This initiative will support all Primary Care colleagues in Norfolk & Waveney with extensive health and wellbeing resources, coaching and practical productivity tools to make the most of their work and homelife. We have put in place resources tailored to suit the needs of staff and help improve their access to a wealth of relevant H&WB resources.
This is free to access for everyone in Primary Care in Norfolk and Waveney, whether they are in a clinical role or play another vital role supporting patients in primary care.
The 12-month campaign, which is being run by the NHS, recognises the huge commitment and hard work being undertaken every day by all staff in primary care under increasingly challenging circumstances. A support package of HW&B resources has been developed for all staff across the four primary care sectors and consists of three key components.
